Congratulations this month to HOF'r Eddie Mintz on winning this months SSO Singles Championship by defeating past champion Jeff Kendall in the final match, 227 to 169 taking home the top prize of $1000.00, the trophy and 10 points toward this season's BOTY category. Eddie qualified below the cut line in 30th place with 1312 and an average of 219. See Rule 7 for details on our Survival Elimination.
Congratulations also goes out to past champion Jeff Kendall on his 2nd place finish. Jeff took home our $500.00 prize and 8 points for his BOTY standings. Kendall qualified in the 8th position averaging 233 with a 1399 total pin fall.
This month's tournament was held at 300 Bowl. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend.
This month's tournament average was 208 or 19 pins higher than last month.
We had 81 bowlers in attendance this month. There were 7 SSS, 38 SS and 3 female bowlers with the rest of our seniors.
We also had 30 bowlers in our Elimination Rounds. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
It took a total of 1355 and an average of 226 or better to make our regular cut line set by SSS John Ruggiero III.
High Qualifier was SS Larry Walker with 1477 total pin fall with an average of 246 after his first 6 games..
There was one honor score from SS Michael Atkins with a 300 game in game 4 of qualifying this weekend.
