Congratulations this month to past champion Carl Bishop on his 2nd championship this year and his third overall title by defeating Dale Hoffmeister in a high scoring final match of 289 to 279 taking home the top prize of $1000.00, the trophy and 10 points toward this season's BOTY category. Carl qualified in 11th place with 1440 and an average of 240.
Congratulations also goes out to Dale Hoffmeister on his 2nd place finish. Dale took home our $500.00 prize and 8 points for his BOTY standings. Dale also qualified 4th averaging 250 with a 1500 total pin fall.
This month's tournament was held at 5 Star Lanes. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend.
This month's tournament average was 220 or 5 pins higher than last months tournament..
High Qualifier was SS Eddie Mintz with 1503 total pin fall with an average of 257 after his first 6 games.
We had 76 bowlers in attendance this month. There were 5 SSS and 29 SS and 2 female with the rest of our seniors.
It took a total of 1401 and an average of 234 or better to make our regular cut line set by Neal Lamont.
We also had 26 bowlers in our Elimination Rounds. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
There were three 300 games. The first was by SS Pete Kaczmarczyk in game 3 of qualifying, and then Anthony Moses had one in game 4 of qualifying. Finally SS Jim Lauricella shot a perfect game in his first game in the Elimination Rounds.
We had one 299 game in game 3 during Carl Harden's qualifying which lead to an 824 series and Carl's second honor score of the day. Harden also averaged over 240 in his first 4 games of Eliminations and ended up in third place for the day. Thomas Bond also had a 299 game in his 3rd game of qualifying.
