Congratulations to Mark Lobdell on his first SSO Championship by defeating Mike Craig 279 to 205 in the final match taking home the trophy and the $1800 top prize. Mark qualified 9th after his first 6 games with 1371 total pinfall and an average of 229. After 4 rounds of Eliminations his total pin fall was 2292 capturing the top seed needing only to win one match for the Championship.

Congratulations also to Mike Craig for his first appearance in the finals and winning our second place prize and trophy of $1400. Mike qualified in 27th with a total pin fall of 1298 after his first six games then finishing second after the elimination rounds. He was our second seed waiting to bowl the winner out of match 2.

Mitch Jabczenski came out with a 300 game in match 1 defeating Dave Schumacher's 230 and advanced to the second match defeating Gerald Johnson 259 to a losing 225 to meet Craig in the semi-final match. Mike prevailed with a 215 to Mitch's 179 to advance to the final match.

Congratulation to all our match play finalists who shared a portion of the $6500.00 for the top 5 spots.

Also being our final tournament we would like to congratulate Ken Wyatt on winning this years SSO Bowler Of The Year.

This month's Grand Finals Tournament was held at Westland Bowl. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend.

This month's tournament average was 206, 1 pin lower than our last tournament average.

We had 83 bowlers in attendance this month. There were 31 super seniors, 6 super super seniors and 1 female with the rest of our seniors. 

We also had 39 bowlers in our Elimination Rounds, 13 SS and  2 SSS along with the rest of our seniors. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.

High Qualifier was Pete Kaczmarczyk for the second time in a row this time with 1526 total pins with an average of 254 after his first 6 games. Pete was also our High Qualifier overall with 2365 with an average of 236 total pin fall after 10 games however he failed to make the cut to our Step Ladder Finals due to bowling his lowest game of the day in Round 4 (game 10) Congratulations also goes out to Pete on his Bowling performance for the day.

There was a 290 game by Bob Edwards in our qualifying rounds and a 300 games by HOF'r Mitch Jabczenski SS in match 1 of the stepladder finals. Mithch also had a perfect game two months ago in our November tournament.
