Congratulations this month goes out to Mike Kereluk on winning his first SSO Championship by defeating HOF'r Gerald Johnson in the final match 233 to 197, taking home our top prize of $1000.00, the trophy and earning 10 more points towards our BOTY standings. Mike qualified 1st with a six game total of 1400 this month and an average of 233.
Congratulations also to Gerald Johnson on his second place finish winning $500 and picking up 8 points towards BOTY. Gerald qualified this month in 4th with an average of 231 and a total pin fall of 1386 for his first 6 games.
This month's tournament was held at Southwyck Lanes where we competed on their house shot. We would like to thank the management and staff for hosting our tournament this weekend. The Tournament Average was 209, or 5 pins lower than our previous singles event.
High Qualifier this month was Mike Kereluk with 1400 for 6 games, averaging better than 233.
It took a total of 1330 and an average of 222 or better to make our regular cut line set by Michael Haggitt.
We had 66 bowlers in attendance this month. There were 15 super seniors and 5 super super seniors and 3 females with the rest of our regular seniors.
We also had 23 bowlers advance to our Elimination Rounds, 4 SS and 2 SSS along with the rest of our regular seniors. This provided a little better than 1 in 3 cashing ratio for the tournament.
There was one 300 game by SSS Fred McClain in game 4 of Qualifying.
