Michigan State USBC LogoThe SSO would like to congratulate Director and former PBA member John Ruggiero III on having been selected to the Michigan State USBC Hall Of Fame.

 

 

 

 

  

Ruggiero WWIIJohn's father (John Ruggiero Jr.) was a pilot in WWII, flying 47 missions in a B-25 bomber as the rank of Captain. His final uniform is on display in the National Bowling Museum. He and John Gavie mentored Lew Ansara on becoming a sponsor, recruiting bowlers for the All Star Classic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

John's father, who was also called JR was inducted into the State HOF during his time as a famous captain of the Stroh's Beer Professional team from 1961 to 1970. Now with John Ruggiero III being inducted this coming June 22nd. in Midland Michigan, will make the first father, son combination to be inducted into the State HOF.
